About 

My name is Rachel Lewis. I'm from Palmerston North, where I studied massage at UCOL. I have been working as a Masseuse for the last 9 years.  I use a collection of Massage techniques and will customize treatments so that you get the most out of your treatment time.

What to expect

​

Typically, the initial consultation takes 1 1/4hrs. During the first visit you'll fill in an information form that gives me a brief health history. This is to make sure that massage is safe for you and alerts me to any health conditions that need to be considered when tailoring your treatment plan.  

We will then discuss your requirements and expectations regarding outcomes of treatment. Together we will outline a treatment plan.

You will be left alone to undress (underwear is left on), take your position on the massage table and cover yourself with the sheet or towel provided. I will drape you carefully, only exposing the area that requires treatment at that time. Your dignity and comfort are of supreme importance.

Your massage will take place, I will check with you regularly to ensure the pressure used is correct for you. You can change your treatment plan at any stage.

When your treatment is done, you’ll be left alone to dress.

Following your massage it is important to drink plenty of water, to help flush toxin that have been released during your treatment.

Please follow any post massage advice regarding stretching and aftercare, this will help you to get the most out of your massage.

Oil

​

I use pure organic coconut oil to massage. Coconut oil is hypoallergenic, anti-fungal, antibacterial, antiviral and antimicrobial. Coconut oil is also an effective natural moisturizer, it is absorbed into the skin without clogging pores, it nourishes and protects the skin from the effects of aging.

I'm more than happy to use any aromatherapy blends you bring in, if that is your preference.
